It aims to equip students with the vocabulary and structures to talk about Ramadan itself, as well as wider themes of worship. The worksheet comprises four short texts along with comprehension questions and glossaries of key words for each. The language level is around A2 on the CEFR scale (ideal for a proficient Year 8/9 group), with plenty of cognates designed to encourage gist-reading longer texts.
